Gedolei Yisroel, shlita are alerting the tzibur to avoid going to any kind of counseling without a written endorsment of that particular therapist, counselor or rabbi who acts as counselor. The endorsment should be from a "Renowned Talmid chacham with experience".
Considerable harm has been caused by the non- Endorsed counselor of any kind. The damaging effects it has had on potential shidduchim or on Chinuch Habanim are countless not to mention how these "so called" counselors have contributed to the destruction of shalom bayis.
Some counselors have freely advised potential Talmedei Chachamim to abandon the Beis Medrash for a carrer.
Please let us spare ourselves and others from a life of agony.
The title Rabbi does not serve as an indication of the persons abilities and compotence as a counselor. The Novice is a very dangerous person to seek for help despite any title.
